This footrest is made by Amish craftsmen using the best materials and techniques to ensure maximum durability and comfort. Cypress contains a natural oil that makes it naturally resistant to insects and decay. It is has been kiln dried to help prevent warping or cupping and then assembled with stainless steel screws and bolts to prevent rust and rust stains. It can be left unfinished and will turn a driftwood grey in time, or it accepts virtually any surface application, although water-based stain will have the best results.
